Low Poly Character - Curand Ethinor by MacLellan
Low Poly Character - Curand Ethinor

"There is always someone who wants something of someone else's, especially in such a beautiful city. Thus that someone who wants something, has such a skill that the someone who owns something that someone wants is oblivious to the someone taking that something....essentially you being the initial someone, or leader of the some-people - have skills and an attitude I would be fortunate enough to get involved with."

Curand's opening statement to the Nymphaea Guild in DaraFog

Curand is one of the Heroes of Losfar (our tabletop RPG game group), a satyr rogue from Eada who lead an escape from the country with his fellow satyrs.

Maybe too variable in detail? Thoughts?

After comments and criticism for improvements!

Hello all

Right - wiped all previous deviations....apologies to anyone who'd faved them
Since my last post (a very very longtime ago) DeviantArt has not been touched.
Still studying Product Design in Nottingham and am about to enter my final year - what will be submitted here will now be more toned to what I am getting up to. These include experiments etc done with 3D software (the recent submissions).

Hope you like the new gallery!

Bro, could you tell me what program you use to make your art?

Course! I use 3D Studio Max Design 2013, some of these renders were made in 3DS Max 2014, but that was only a trial version - so managed to get hold of Max Design 2013. These images have been rendered using Mental Ray (built in renderer of Max) but I'm trialing Vray 2.0. I have seen and heard that alot of this low poly style have been done with Cinema 4D. What are you planning on using it for?

Something similar to low poly as well, I quite like the style and the results it gives in Photoshop are quite nice, so I reconed I could start with something 'next level' if you want to call it that way.

Yeah I've seen some brilliant 2D work with photoshop in that style. I never really thought of using photoshop to be fair, was teaching myself 3DS Max and mimicked the style, I've seen a lot been done in this style, but few scenes, mainly just the models themselves. My plan is to do a graphic novel in this style...gunna be a task!
